Juvenile News

Thanks to Douglas U9 hurlers for coming to visit Páirc Tadhg Mac Cárthaigh last Saturday morning. A fantastic morning and two super teams were evenly matched!

Our U7 boys and coaches hosted a mini-blitz last Saturday morning, and we were delighted to welcome teams from both Carrigaline and Carrig NaBhfear. Mighty hurling skills were on display from all 3 clubs and the kids had the best of fun.

Our U8/U9 Street Leagues ended on a high on Sunday 14th when our Final took place at Páirc Tadhg Mac Cárthaigh. Four action packed weeks of hurling, skills, fun and friendship. A huge thank you to all the players, coaches and parents who helped make the Street Leagues such a special success.

Special thanks to Sean Murphy for leading the parade with the bagpipes, to Johnny Crowley and our senior hurlers who refereed and presented medals, and to our U13 umpires who did a brilliant job throughout the day.

Theres huge interest and enthusiasm in this group. Well done boys keep it up.

Minor News
Special word of acknowledgement to our 3 Cork minors. Reaching an All-Ireland Semi Final, Eoin Considine (Captain), Tom Huggins, and Cuan McMahon. To have three Sarsfields players representing Cork at minor level is a tremendous achievement and a source of great pride for our club.

Adult News

It was a hectic weekend also for all of our adult teams.
First out were our Intermediates on 11th Jun. They played Erin’s Own in Caherlag. A very competitive game in which Sars came out on top full-time score Sars 3:24 Erins Own 2:21. Next game is against Kinsale.

Our Senior hurlers were victorious against Fr. O’Neill’s in Aghavine (Sars 4:27 Fr O’Neill’s 0:19). Winning this meant they have now qualified for the League final against Midleton. However, we first need to play Midleton away in our last scheduled league fixture before the final can take place.

From Aghavine to Páirc Tadhg Mac Cárthaigh where our Junior Bs took on Ballinacurra registering a win. (Sars 5:18 Ballinacurra 1:19). Their next game is the league final against Bride Rovers.

To round off the day our Junior As took on Cobh in Lisgoold in the league final on Sunday evening. An amazing game, but unfortunately Cobh took the trophy for 2026 (Sars 2:22 Cobh 4:16).
